"Angie Stevens is a songwriter in the truest sense of the word. Some people write good music with no story, others have good ideas with weak music. She writes passionate songs and there is power in her story. She's got the songs and her performance of them is riveting."
         Isaac Slade, The Fray

Angie Stevens
Melding the influences of alt-country, indie-rock, contemporary folk and pop, Angie Stevens has settled comfortably into the shoes of an Americana artist with soul-bearing, live performances that have captured audiences all over the map.

Originally from the Northern Plains, Stevens pulls her music from her own life experience: The 1991 suicide of her older brother (Steven, the root of Angie's music and from where she gets her stage name), observing the struggle of her mother's alcoholism and trying to find her own way through the day-to-day havoc she has physically, mentally and emotionally endured.

Stevens has gained national attention over the last few years following the releases of her first three albums, I'm Okay (2005), Stand Up Girl (2006) and Queen of This Mess (2009). Her song, "Sleepwalking," was featured on HBO's "Big Love" and her video for "Stand Up Girl" was a pick of the week on CMT's "Top 20 Video Countdown."  Most recently, Eddie Bauer selected Give It on Back to accompany in-store video in First Ascent locations.

Stevens has toured as well, playing venues from Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles to Coors Field in Denver and other venues in 21 states; and has showcased at SXSW, Sundance Film Festival and at the inaugural Monolith Festival at Red Rocks in 2007.  Stevens has shared the stage with 50+ national acts including Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Hayes Carll and Reckless Kelly. She performed at Circus Mexicus in Puerto Peasco (Rocky Point), Mexico twice with Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. She has also played Denver Day of Rock and numerous festivals across the country.
